Cappi came to visit! I hadn’t seen her in months, but when she finally picked up her email, she was afraid I was about to do something drastic and decided to come see what she could do to cheer me up. She brought her son, Nick, to keep My Daughter occupied. The four of us went to the mall on Saturday. Cappi and I separated from the kids so we wouldn’t have to worry about embarrassing them. We hid, but they kept finding us. We stopped by every shop that sells aroma oils to re-supply our habit. Cappi is addicted.
We bought cheap food for the teens and dropped them off at my house, and we left to go out for a nice dinner at a grown up restaurant. The kids took Cappi’s car while we were gone, and went to a youth activity at the church we’d been visiting. A sudden storm came up after we got home, and it started hailing. Nick and My Daughter were out in it, and My Son was driving home from Ohio in the worst rain imaginable. A tree fell across the driveway at our house so we decided to turn on the TV to see what was going on -- Nothing much, just a tornado.

Expressy in Action
Email Episodes is a talented and funny look into Expressy’s animation of vivacious living. A woman’s search to heal through pain and confusion while never letting go of her need to reach others and to love those around her. Through messages passed back and forth via e-mail, Expressy finds her strength and purpose to become what she was always meant to be.
The author's style of simple, straightforward storytelling of life episodes carries the reader into deeper connecting issues and philosophies in an entertaining approach. In “Kooks of Hazard and other oil spills” and “Clove Loathe,” she shares some of the hazards of amateur aromatherapy. Raising teenagers, other people’s teenagers, stray pets, Expressy’s own pets, conflicting religious dilemmas, mechanical breakdowns, and emotional breakdowns are all shared with family and friends with screen names like: Cappi, Angelgirl, Birthababe, GoofyGordon, Suzysunflower, and Dellaspeak.
Here was someone whose life (though far from perfect) was never the less full of love, joy, fun, and hope. Expressy took life’s challenges as if she were running the 100-yard hurdles.

A Note From the Author
These excerpts are based on an original book, Email Episodes, which was written by Yvonne Perry and self-published in 2004. The content was written between 1997 and 2003. The author says, "I'm just now getting around to posting the original book because I believe that procrastination is highly under-rated. Besides, blogs didn't exist in 1997 when this material came to me and my muse, or else the book might have been called Blogging Episodes."
During part of that era, the Expressy character was married part-time to a man with whom she was raising teenagers who were raising reptiles. Since then, Expressy has divorced her first husband and married another man, whom she is still raising.
Today, Expressy's kids are aged 33 and 29. Plus, she has inherited three adult step children--they all have partners and kids. The blended family is a complete package with a dozen grandchildren. Their experiences are a far cry from the calm facade of raising children as portrayed by Brady Bunch.
As you embark upon this adventure with Expressy and her "brewed," please realize this is for entertainment purposes only. The free counseling you gain in the process is a bonus.
